I'm probably not qualified to discuss this one (much like Riot is an AC/DC homer)....but the Sex Pistols are just generally bad ass in my shallow-punk opinion. I love the Ramones and know them better....but I'm going with the Pistols. The Clash were too political/intelligent to be total badasses.
Sorry Mac, the Misfits never really made me wet. |

This one was really tough for me. Each one of these has their own claim to fame.
The Ramones certainly carved out their own sound and really kicked things off in the US, the Pistols really got the ball rolling early on in the UK and probably embodied the Punk spirit more than any other.
The Clash were certainly the musicians of the group, and The Misfits begat so many varieties of rock...
I had to go with The Clash, but it was so difficult. |
